Why You Need NBT

Why You Need NBT

If you are the CEO of a mid-sized company, you probably don’t have enough hours in the day to do what you need to   If you delegate, many times the task won’t get done the way you would do it.  So, important projects are left unfinished.

You have good people but know that, aside from key functions where you are at least as good as anyone out there (say, sales and marketing in a sales driven firm), others areas are often only mediocre at best.  You are not yet large enough to hire the talent you need on a full time basis.  So, you lose profit because your operations are not as efficient as they could be or you have personnel, compliance and other problems which could be avoided.

You know your world is changing.  You face disruptive technologies, evolving markets, foreign competition, increased regulation, a volatile economy and more difficult funding.  Certainly challenges!  Or could they also be opportunities?

How do you respond? Who do you talk to? Subordinates are loyal but they have agendas that distract from the company.  Advisors have the prejudices of their professions and may not be able to see the whole picture.  If you have a Board, it may not be the best place to brainstorm.

And what about the technical expertise you need but don’t have in house?  Buying such expertise piecemeal is expensive and often you don’t know where to go to get it or whether the experts you do get are really good.

NBT can help.

Our Executives sat where you sit now. They felt what you feel. They understand.  They have made crises into opportunities. They can be the edge you need.

Give them a job and they will do it quickly, effectively and with minimal supervision.  Since they have no internal agenda or need to prove themselves, they serve only you.  Their sole objective is to get the job done and provide knowledgeable, objective and confidential input.  With them, you can safely voice worries and think out loud.

NBT Executives can identify what needs to be done and help you do it quickly and effectively and provide you the additional resource you need on an interim basis.  They also can access reliable needed technical expertise when you want it at reasonable cost, create the systems you should have and assist in developing strategy and, if you want, join your management team on a part time basis.

As a CEO you can’t clone yourself or add hours to your day, and you may not be able to have a fully staffed “C” level management team.  But NBT is the Next Best Thing.
